Raquel K. Perlis, B.S., P.T., was one of the first Boston-area physical therapists to embrace women’s health physical therapy and pelvic floor physical therapy. She launched her physical therapy practice in 1990 and began specializing in women’s health in 1993.  Since then, she has treated thousands of women and has lectured on pelvic floor physical therapy at hospitals, schools, and other facilities. Raquel holds bachelor’s degrees from the University of Chile and Boston University, and she received a Certificate of Achievement in Pelvic Physical Therapy from the Women’s Health Section of the American Physical Therapy Association (APTA). Fluent in English, Spanish, and Hebrew, Raquel is prized by her patients for her warmth, openness, and multicultural understanding. She was a founding board member of Vulvodynia Matters, and she’s a member of the APTA, the Women’s Health Section of the APTA, and the National Vulvodynia Association.

 

Lila Toub, P.T., D.P.T., changed careers and became a physical therapist after witnessing a loved one suffer from chronic pain. She received a bachelor’s degree from Northwestern University and a doctorate in physical therapy from Columbia University, where she focused her studies and research on pelvic floor rehabilitation. She trained at New York-Presbyterian Hospital and Spaulding Outpatient Centers, presented on postpartum healing to new and expectant moms, and has taken continuing education courses in pelvic floor, pregnancy rehabilitation and postpartum rehabilitation through the highly regarded Herman & Wallace Pelvic Rehabilitation Institute. Passionate about women’s health, Lila creates a safe space for women who have been suffering in silence. She’s a member of the American Physical Therapy Association (APTA) and the Women’s Health Section of the APTA.

 

Tonya Yanok, PT, DPT, PRPC, felt called to become a pelvic floor physical therapist after hearing stories of women transformed by treatment. She earned a bachelor’s degree from Ursuline College and a doctorate of physical therapy from Cleveland State University, worked in several outpatient physical therapy centers in Ohio, and ran her own practice for five years. In 2020 she moved to Massachusetts to focus exclusively on pelvic floor rehabilitation. Alongside providing care, she pursued continuing education culminating in Pelvic Rehabilitation Practitioner Certification from the widely respected Herman & Wallace Pelvic Rehabilitation Institute. A health advocate at heart, Tonya is committed to correcting widespread misconceptions about pelvic pain and treatment. Patients are set at ease by her candor and sensitivity to their struggles.

 

Jailyn Rivera, office manager, is the friendly voice on the phone. She schedules appointments and can answer any questions you might have. She runs our office with efficiency, making every effort to accommodate patients' schedules.
